THE TINY OLD SHTEEBLE- Sung & Composed by Country Yossi- Breakout
—————————————————————————
When Eli was a baby
Everyone came,
To the tiny old Shteeble
When they gave him a name.
The Rabbi spoke softly
Zolst oifvaksin frum,
Oy, letorah ulechupa
Ulma’asim tovim.
And at his bar mitzvah
He stood up to lein,
In the tiny old Shteeble
That looked just the same.
And when he got married
The Aufruf was there,
In the tiny old Shteeble
Where simchos were shared.
—————————————————————————
And he prayed and he sang when his children were born
And his children’s children in turn,
And they laughed and they cried within its four walls
And the words of the Torah they learned.
—————————————————————————
But Eli grew older
His long beard turned grey,
Too soon old Reb Elya
Was taken away.
They brought him one last time
To bid him farewell,
To the tiny old Shteeble
That loved him so well.
