BIGGER GEDALIAH GOOMBER– Uncle Moishy- Composed by Yosaif Silverman- Volume 2

I’m big Gedaliah Goomber,
You all remember me,
I’m sure since the last time, you’ve kept Shabbos faithfully
I’ve had some new adventures,
I’ve grown a little more,
Instead of seventeen feet tall,
Now I’m twenty‐four.
Ohhhh…

CHORUS:
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday,
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday.
Double, double, triple pay,
Won’t make me work on Saturday,
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday,
It’s Shabbos Kodesh.

Once I was a fireman,
Chief Goomber, that was me.
I came across a fire as high as one could see.
But it was almost Shabbos, and everyone was scared.
So I huffed and puffed and blew, until the fire disappeared.
Ohhhh…

CHORUS:
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday,
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday.
Double, double, triple pay,
Won’t make me work on Saturday,
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday,
It’s Shabbos Kodesh.

Once I had a ball team, Shomrei Shabbos was its name.
The score was 0-0, in this exciting game.
I was up at bat, and Shabbos was coming soon.
I hit that ball so very hard, it landed on the moon.
Ohhhh…

CHORUS:
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday,
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday.
Double, double, triple pay,
Won’t make me work on Saturday,
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday,
It’s Shabbos Kodesh.

In case you have been wondering,
Yes, it’s a true rumor.
I got married, now there’s a baby Gedaliah Goomber.
I call him “Little Goomber,”
He’s not as tall as me.
I’m 24 feet tall, (and I’m only 23!)

CHORUS:
Oh, ain’t gonna work on Saturday,
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday.
Double, double, triple pay,
Won’t make me work on Saturday,
Ain’t gonna work on Saturday,
It’s Shabbos Kodesh.
