LYRIC

THE DOVE- Shloime Dachs Ft. Daniel Waldman- Composed By Yosef Aisenstark, Lyrics By Yehuda Deutsch- Hashem Echod

VERSE 1:
She sits all alone
In a nest she calls her home
Composed of sticks and earth
Eagerly, waiting for the birth
Of a dove
To shelter with love
A challenge lies ahead
A little child waiting to be led.

The sun breaks through the clouds
The mother dove is proud
Her life is filled with joy
As she looks with affection at her boy
So pure and white
Against the black of night
Her task has begun
To bring up and raise her precious son.

CHORUS 1:
She’ll prepare
Make him aware
That we’re only passing by
Won’t despair
Just love and care
Till he sores up to the sky.
Yet she knows
When he grows
A day will come, he’ll move along
To a place
Of peaceful grace
Where the birds all sing their song.

VERSE 2:
The dove grew up so fast
Didn’t seem that time had passed
Just a mother and her child
All alone, protected from the wild
And the cold
As his life starts to mold
Soon the dove is grown
And it’s time to leave the comfort of his home.

He leaves his perch and flies
The meadow echoes with cries
Where he’s going she can’t know
But it’s better than the place he’s called his home
For a while
With this thought she starts to smile
Against the clouds he fades
She’s content, he will return one day.

CHORUS 2:
She prepared
Made him aware
That we’re only passing by
Her love and care
A wistful stare
He’ll be missed, she longingly sighs.
Yes, she knew
When he grew
A day would come, he’d move along
To a better place
Of peaceful grace
Where the birds all sing their song.
