TIME TO MAKE HAVDALAH- Country Yossi

When I was just a little boy
It seems like yesterday
We’d gather ‘round my Tatty
As Shabbos ebbed away.
His eyes would twinkle like the stars
As I held the candle high
Then he raised his cup and sadly
Wiped a teardrop from his eye.

(He said) “Our Neshoma Yiseira
That came down Friday night
Is getting set to leave us
To the glow of candlelight”.
Then he’d kiss us on the forehead
And we all heard him sigh
“Now, it’s time to make Havdalah,
Time to say goodbye”.

Well, I grew up and married
Had children of my own
And Zaidy came to live with us
He brightened up our home.
But every Motzei Shabbos
As the stars shone in the sky
He said, “It’s time to make Havdalah,
Time to say goodbye”.

Last night our family gathered
Together ‘round Zaidy’s bed
Our tears were flowing freely
With the Tehillim that we said.
When suddenly, he called us near
And said, “Kinderlach, don’t cry.
Now, it’s time to make Havdalah,
Time to say goodbye”.
