BENJY 2- JEP- Composed by Yehudah Rubin, Lyrics by Elozer Halpert- JEP 5-It’s Never Too Late

Benjy’s been elected, he’s now our president,
the first time someone frum is the White House resident.
He’s full of middos tovos and lots of Torah knowledge,
He’s a product of yeshiva… and the electoral college.

“I’m getting rid of China, now isn’t that fantastic”,
Mr. President, are you sure – isn’t that too drastic,
don’t you think you’re being overly ambitious?”
“No, no, no – I’m just throwing out, all those treife dishes.”

Benjy holds a meeting three times every day,
with nine of his advisors, hearing what they’d say.
Some give their reports, and some give their opinion,
then they all get up… and daven with a minyan.

Benjy went to war with the leader of Iraq,
the U.S. won in no time, a lightning quick attack.
The general was doubtful, but Benjy could assure him,
The enemy will lose, ’cause after all…it’s Purim.”

On Rosh Hashanah morning, an engine he could hear,
He sent his chief of staff to try to make it clear.
It’s nice to have a limo to drive the President,
but when he asked for a shofar… that’s not what he meant.

A sniper started shooting, but Benjy wasn’t nervous,
soon the place was swarming with lots of Secret Service.
“My guards are at their posts, so I am not afraid,
with mezuzos on my doors.. Hashem comes to my aid.”
