BENJI’S MESS- Uncle Moishy- Volume 5
(Orig. The Cat Came Back- Sung & Composed by Composed by Harry S. Miller)

VERSE 1:
Now Benji was a legend in a golden family
because he kept his room as messy as can be.
He had piles on the piles, as far as you can see
Last time that we saw his floor was 1983… and you know-

CHORUS 1:
The mess grew bigger, every single day
The mess grew bigger, we couldn’t stop the growing
and the mess grew bigger, he should have cleaned it right away!

(Benji? Benji? Where are you?!?)

VERSE 2:
Well, Benji, he would pile up all the books he’d read
“I’ll put ’em away later” was what he always said,
One night the mess got so bad, he couldn’t find his bed!
Lucky in the morning that he could find his head!…

CHORUS 2:
And the mess grew bigger, every single day
The mess grew bigger, we couldn’t stop the growing
and the mess grew bigger, he should have cleaned it right away!

(Hey, where’s my head? Anybody see my head? Excuse me. My Head?)

VERSE 3:
Now Benji had piles for almost everything!
He had piles for his toys and piles for his string.
Piles for his puzzles, puzzles all over the floor!
He piled them so high, he couldn’t find the door!

CHORUS 3:
And the mess grew bigger, every single day
The mess grew bigger, we couldn’t stop the growing
and the mess grew bigger, he should have cleaned it right away!

(Hey, hey, I can’t find my way out of here. Look at all this junk! Where am I? Mom!)

VERSE 4:
Of course we’re only joking, we’re sure you’ll understand,
The point of this whole story is to always lend a hand.
So when it comes to cleaning up, always try your best
so you don’t end up like our friend, Benji and his mess!…

CHORUS 4:
And the mess grew bigger, every single day
The mess grew bigger, we couldn’t stop the growing
and the mess grew bigger, he should have cleaned it right away!
(x4)

(Hey! I knew I should’ve listened to my mother! And now I’m never gonna get out of here! Look at all this stuff! Wait a minute. Which way, which way is the door? Help! Ma! Oh, I’ll never… What? Hey, I found my tennis racket! Wow! Wow! Hey, look. Hey, look. It’s my… it’s my door! Wow!!!)
