LYRIC

MY LITTLE ONE- Sung & Composed By Ira Heller- Agudah

Look into my window
Step into my world
Hear a story
About my little girl
Just a heartbeat
In the darkness
A blip upon a screen
Oh, what a joy it was
To watch your world unfold.

Together, we sat and pondered
The miracle of life
When suddenly
So unexpectedly
The doctor burst into the room
With terror in her eyes
Something isn’t going right
In her little world.

CHORUS 1:
Will she ever see the sunset
Hear the rustle of the trees
Will she ever feel the raindrops, my little one
Will she know me when I hold her
Will her arms reach out for me
Does she know how much I pray for her
Will she ever pray for me.

They sent us to the experts
And their finely tuned machine
For a better look
At our little girl
How I wished that I could talk to you
To tell you, it’s alright
But your warm little world
Had turned so dark and cold.

There, we waited fearfully
Wanting just to ask
Can things be right
With our little girl
But the doctor looked across his desk
With pity in his eyes
He slowly shook his head
“No” is what he said.

CHORUS 1:
Will she ever see the sunset
Hear the rustle of the trees
Will she ever feel the raindrops, my little one
Will she know me when I hold her
Will her arms reach out for me
Does she know how much I pray for her
Will she ever pray for me.

Emerging from her darkness
She stepped into our world
Began the story
About our little girl
The room was filling
With the light
Streaming from her eyes
A face so filled with wisdom
She watched our world unfold.

The story hasn’t yet been told
About this little girl
But one thing
Is very clear to me
A teacher surely has arrived
From my G-d above
To show me what is right and wrong
In my little world.

CHORUS 2:
So when I see the sunset
Or hear the rustle of the trees
I thank Hashem
For my little one
And every time I hold her
I feel her heart reach out to me
And I’m learning how to pray for her
The way she prays for me.
Yes, I’m learning how to pray for her
The way she prays for me.
